Way back In 2012, Dave had the vision to start a classical Christian school. In 2021 God opened the door to begin to make this vision a reality.
Experienced School Leader
Dave leads with passion and creativity to consolidate our growing educational community. He has genuine care for students and staff as well as high expectations around learning and behaviour.
Prior to starting The Classical School, Dave was the Head of Secondary at Mundaring Christian College, part of the Swan Christian Education Association's group of schools. Dave led the campus through a time of rapid growth and established a strong foundation of educational excellence, Christian focus and student development.
Father of Five
As the father of five children, Dave deeply understands the practicalities and developmental needs of children and their inbuilt passion to learn when given the right boundaries, resources and loving encouragement. Dave's Christian faith, heart for children and respect for the Liberal Arts as a powerful tool to shape students into leaders has compelled him to start The Classical School.
Humanities & Visual Art Specialist, Bible Scholar, Latin Enthusiast.
Dave's quest for excellence saw him train at the Florence Academy of Arts, Italy. His is passionate about the Humanities being able to encourage deep thinking within his students.
Dave holds a Masters of Education (UWA) and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Visual Art and Humanities (ECU). Additionally he holds a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership & Management (USYD). He has completed theological units with Ridley College in New Testament. Since 2012, Dave has been building his knowledge and understanding of the classical Christian curriculum, including studying Latin.
